Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has said he will be making his next move known after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obaseki spoke Sunday through his Twitter as news filtered that he visited Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.
There had been speculations that Obaseki would pitch his tent with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in a bid to realise his ambition, of contesting the election, having been stopped from doing so by the screening committee.
Embattled Obaseki, was disqualified from seeking a second term in office by the National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which upheld his disqualification from seeking a second term in office by stopping him from participating in the governorship primary election.
Obaseki said he was still consulting with his supporters on his next move after being stopped in his party, the APC.
“I appreciate the sustained show of solidarity, support and goodwill from Edo people and Nigerians in the face of injustice by the APC screening committee. I will be making my next move known after I complete consultations with my supporters and meet with President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said.
